Macaroni and Cheese with Truffle Oil















Who doesn’t love a creamy and decadent mac & cheese? Now, I warn you that this is not a skinny recipe!! However; we are all allowed to cheat around the holiday’s…right? So, I give you my special steakhouse style mac & cheese recipe that is full of flavor for everyone to love!! I know that it looks like a lot of ingredients; but I promise you that this dish is worth it! 5 different types of creamy cheeses and the truffle oil makes it decadent and delicious! Beware that once you make it… will have to make it over and over again!! Enjoy 🙂

Mac and Cheese


  • 1lb cooked & drained pasta (I used gigli, organic shoprite brand)
  • 1 cup shredded provolone cheese
  • 1 cup shredded gruyere cheese
  • 1 cup shredded marbled jack cheese
  • 3/4 cup shredded parmesan cheese
  • 1.5 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 2 large shallots, chopped small
  • 4 garlic cloves, chopped
  • 3 Tbsp room temp butter
  • 2 tbsp flour
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 packet chicken bouillan
  • 3/4 tsp salt
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup half & half
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp smokey paprika
  • 1/8 tsp chipotle chili powder
  • 8 grinds of nutmeg
  • ****Mix all the ingredients below for Topping****
  • 3 tbsp melted butter
  • 2 Tbsp truffle oil
  • 1/2 cup Panko
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp b pepper
  • 1/4 tsp smokey paprika


  1. Pre-Heat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. In a large pot add butter, shallots and garlic. Let the shallots & garlic sweat until tender.
  3. Whisk in flour until well blended and combined making a “roux”
  4. Whisk in Chicken broth, packet of chicken bouillon and salt. Bring to boil & whisk until creamy
  5. Add heavy cream, half & half, black pepper, paprika, chili powder, and nutmeg. Continue to whisk/mix until well blended and bring to boil.
  6. Reduce heat and simmer for approximately 20 minutes until thick and creamy.
  7. Fold in cheeses until well blended. Turn off heat
  8. Add pasta and combine into cheese sauce.
  9. Transfer to a baking dish.
  10. Prepare the topping by mixing all the ingredients together and combine well. Place topping on top of the pasta.
  11. Bake uncovered for 20 minutes until cheese is bubbly and topping is slightly browned.
  12. Enjoy!!
  13. ****making it ahead? After placing the topping on the pasta cover; bring to room temp & cover and place in fridge for up to 5 days. Day that you want to cook Pre-Heat oven to 350 and bake covered for 30 minutes and then remove foil and bake uncovered for 20 minutes until top is browned & bubbly.
